Complejo Turistico La Garganta occupies a fully restored 1827 flour mill in the village of El Chorro, directly opposite the train station. The hotel sits at the south exit of the Caminito del Rey trail, and the shuttle bus to the north entrance stops right outside the front door. Desfiladero de los Gaitanes Natural Park surrounds the property, with Antequera Dolmens Archaeological Ensemble a short drive away.

Each of the 15 rooms combines original mill features with contemporary design and includes a small living area. Duplex rooms use the building's tall interior height to create two-floor layouts with a spiral staircase leading to the bedroom. Themed rooms reflect local culture and history, and many offer views over the gorge and the reservoir.

The panoramic swimming pool includes a hydromassage area and overlooks the Caminito del Rey gorge. Sun loungers and umbrellas line the sun terrace, which also serves as a relaxation area after a day of hiking. The pool is open all year round and has a shallow end for children.

The on-site restaurant serves traditional Andalusian dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, including regional goat stew and pork ribs in black beer sauce.
